How Long Does It Take To Repaint A Car?

Repaint A Car

The painting of the vehicle itself can be done in as little as a day. However, the longest part of any paint job is the prep work, this
can take days to months. Before a vehicle can be painted, all of the exterior trims pieces must be removed. Many interior pieces must also be removed to gain access to the exterior pieces. The technicians will also remove the bumpers, lights, antennas, moldings, windshield, back glass, and quarter glass pieces.

For color changes, the doors must be removed and completely disassembled, hinges and strikers removed, and if it is painted under the hood and you want it to match, the engine bay will need everything removed as well. This can lead to 100’s of labor
hours.
